Sónia Marques has more than twenty years of experience in the fields of tax, accounting, auditing, and business consulting. Throughout her career, she has advised companies across a wide range of industries, supporting matters related to tax and accounting compliance, internal controls, financial reporting, and business management.
Before joining Spear Legal, she held management positions in the Tax, Accounting, and Human Resources departments of one of the leading private healthcare groups in Portugal, where she was responsible for overseeing tax and employment compliance, implementing internal control procedures, and coordinating relationships with various public authorities.
She is a Certified Accountant and has extensive experience in tax matters, financial accounting, auditing, and compliance, combining strong technical expertise with a practical and integrated understanding of businesses’ needs.
Degree in Accounting and Business Administration, with a Specialisation in Taxation, from the Lisbon Institute of Accounting and Administration (ISCAL) (1998-2003).
Postgraduate Degree in Taxation from the Institute of Economic, Financial and Tax Law (IDEFF) (2014-2015).
Postgraduate Degree in Human Resources Management and Social Benefits from the Institute for Development and Economic, Financial and Business Studies (IDEFE) (2016-2017).
