Júlio Almeida is Tax Director at Spear Legal and focuses his practice on providing tax advisory services to companies and business groups, as well as handling complex tax matters, including developing strategies to respond to tax audits.
Throughout his career, he has served as a tax consultant to domestic groups—including publicly traded companies—and multinationals across various sectors, including utilities, pharmaceuticals, oil and gas, automotive, retail and consumer goods, beverages, aerospace, and medical devices.
His experience includes advising on domestic and cross-border corporate restructuring projects. He also provides support in analyzing tax issues related to financing and compensation policies.
He also has experience in managing tax compliance processes and conducting tax assessments aimed at identifying risks and opportunities, as well as in matters related to ESG policies.
Before joining Spear Legal, he developed his professional career at multinational tax consulting firms.
